The processor is nice and the graphics are so-so. You can get ~40 fps in medium setting for Star Craft II. You can see the benchmark here.

have owned both and the Toshiba will play gta 4 at around 20 fps at medium settings. from my readings gta 4 is one of most intense games out. it will play crysis warhead on second to highest (enthusiast?)
the lenovo i like better because it was thinner and the keyboard was nicer. it played Crysis on high ad around 25 fps and would play it on ultra but was a bit laggy but playable.

You could try alienware, theyre prices are usually higher than you might expect, but if you wait for a sale you might get a good deal. Also if you call them when you order sometimes you can haggle off a couple hundred off your order. I got the m11x for $550 during blackfriday.

I wouldn't suggest for anything below 30fps...

name a laptop then. there are not to many laptops that will be able to play gta 4 with high graphics unless you pay for it. these are 800-1000 dollar laptops so they dont break the bank.

true that does have a better graphics card but the processor score about 500 points less in 3dmark06 3300 to 2800 so whatever is better for gaming then choose that one. i think that one will do better though cause i cant see that gpu bottlenecking that processor.
