Hi just wondering if somebody could tell me whether this PSU could run an HD 5970? My other system specs are

OCZ 2gb DDR2-800
Phenom II x2 545 @ 3.8ghz
1x SATA Seagate 320gb
1 x DVD/RW
1 x 120mm led fan
1 x 80mm led fan
Gigabyte ma785gm-us2h?

But to answer your question it might but its cutting it real close recommended is 650 watts. And for the 5970 I wouldn't mess with your spending $700 on that card so dont skimp on the power get atleast a 650 watt.

The power supply recommendations are for an entire pc system.

Most likely it would. Corsairs are about as stout as PSU's come. They are one of the few to actually underrate their power supplies output. But it wouldn't hurt to throw another $25 at it and give yourself some breathing room.

I have decided to go with an Aywun A1-750e. it has 28 amps on 2 12v rails and has an 80 plus certification.

Im unfamiliar with the brand. It doesn't appear to be available in North America (where I am) but if its as good as its specs, you will be happy with it.

the vantec might actually not be a conpletely terrible psu. though i wouldnt recommend it, i would say get that over the one u listed 3 posts ago...
