Start up Problems

On Power up, lights come on and fans spin for 1 second, then everything powers down, and starts up normally a second later.


This started after I made upgrades including, MB CPU, PSU, OS and RAM

Computer:
Asus Sabertooth P67
Intel Sandy Bridge i5 2500K
Corsair XMS 3 (2x2GB)
Corsair 600W PSU
nVidia 9800 GT
WD 6 Gb/s 640GB HDD w/ Win7 64-bit

I am having no performance issues, but I doubt this cycling is good for my PC.


Any recommendations?

Side note, I received my replacement MB today from Intel. I will be swapping it in the next day or so.

It is a known BIOS/firmware problem. Upgrade to the latest BIOS and see if that fixes it. If not, wait for an updated BIOS to come out.

Thanks. I installed the replacement MB last night and it came with the latest version of BIOS and the hiccup at power-up has gone away.
