I am about to build a new PC.
I selected i5 2500K for the CPU and Intel Desktop Board DP67BA for the mobo, both of which support max 1333MHz. Now does that mean when I buy memory with 1600 MHz, will it not work at all or will the system only squeeze out 1333 MHz?
For example either:
G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL PC3-12800 / DDR3 1600 Mhz 2 x 4GB 9-9-9-24 1.5V Ripjaws X
or
G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBXL PC3-10666 / DDR3 1333 Mhz 2 x 4GB 9-9-9-24 1.5V Ripjaws X
Another question: Is it exactly the same, when I buy a set of 2X4GB or exactly the same model only separately?
ie. Ripjaws X 2 x 4GB
or
Ripjaws X 4GB and another Ripjaws X 4GB of the same model
These might be some stupid questions, so apologize in advance
