If an application stops shutdown there is an option in CCleaner to disable its launch at the start of Windows.

You can achieve the same result by using the run dialog from Start and running 'msconfig'

However I do think CCleaner is the easier alternative :) .

If not task manager can close that pesky process. (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

When did this problem start? What did you do or what happened just before it started?

You can play "what if" all day. The solutions offered have three qualities. They are simple. They are cheat (free :D ). And there is a good possibility that one of them which fix the problem.

Try them. If they don't work, come back and we will continue to try to help you.
