Web key for connecting wireless to LINKSYS

Cannot connect wireless to my LINKSYS -WIRELESS- N BROADBAND ROUTER. Computer finds the router and requests a web key? I never had a web key when I purchased the router. Linksys does not give me any support nor help with this problem. They want me to purchase another router??? Why? Is there a solution? Please any good advice could help.
