Is the monitor plugged into the new card? Does the new card require additional power? Disable integrated GFX in BIOS? Did this new card come packaged complete with instructions?

Yeah, more info needed.

most likely problem being that you aren't actually connecting the monitor to the new card.

next most likely that you have no connected the PSU cables (if the card needs them)

and way further down the list is that the card is faulty. If you give us more info on the card, system and what you have tried (as well as the problems you have encountered in detail) we can be of more assistance.
