Is 600w enough for my desktop?

hello,
is my 600w psu enough? i have a minimal budget, but wanted an i7 950 thats why i came up with this specs..
-i7 950
-intel x58og
-evga gts450
-12gb kingston ddr3(6 stick)
-1 WD sata6.0gb/s 500gb
-1 samsung dvdrom
-rs9 devil red chasis(5 led fans)
-fsp everest 600w 80plus modlar

The two largest power users are your CPU (about 10 amps) and your GPU (about 8 amps). That's about 220 watts at full load. Everything else will not use more than 100 - 120 watts.

You have plenty of power available. Most of the PSU calculators give results that are highly pessimistic.

12 GB of RAM is overkill unless you are running Photoshop or other memory intensive applications. 6GB would be enough for gaming & such.

yeah i believe a 600w is capable until i saw a psu calculator and say my system requires 700w and i cant believe it, is that accurate? i have no plans of overclocking, and sli, but maybe in the future upgrading my evga gts 450 to a much higher single card, like an evga gtx560, is my fsp everest 600w (80plus modular) enough?
