New build..need advise for PSU and GPU

:hello: hi everyone, I am looking for advise for the PSU and GPU.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: In the future

I have already gotten these:

CPU: Intel i7 950

MOBO: ASUS P6X58D Premium

RAM: Corsair Dominator (3 x 2GB) 1600MHz CL7

HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB

CPU COOLER: Noctua NH-D14

CASE: NZXT Phantom

I will buy the EVGA GTX 570, but I am considering to buy the superclocked one or just buy the normal one. Which one should I go for?
Is a 750W PSU enough for this computer? Or should I buy a 850W. THANKS!!!!

750w is enough I'd reccomend the xfx 750 or corsair 750hx or if you want to buy another 570 soon the 850w versions of these power supplies.

ohh and the superclocked is a waste. Get a regular you can make it a superclocked with msi afterburner in a few seconds.
  2. XFX PSU's are best buy for money right now. Excellent PSU's built by seasonic, better than Corsair HX ones for the price of a Corsair TX

so a 850w psu is overkill if I use one GTX 570?

Actually, a quality 650w psu is sufficient to run a GTX580. A stronger psu will not hurt, but is only necessary if you are preparing for sli and a second GTX570.

My short list of quality psu's would include Corsair, Antec, XFX, Seasonic, and PC P&C. Any will do.
I like the XFX 650w unit; modular too:

the GTX570 requirement is a 550w psu with 38a on the +12v rails.

While you can usually OC a standard card, EVGA is giving you a nice overclock that is guaranteed for not much of a price premium. I would get the superclocked version.
