Freezez so u cant do anything but reset

im thinking its a connection problem the motherboard cpu and ram

i7-960
ASUS Rampage III GENE, Socket-1366
Cooler Master Silent Pro M700 700W PSU
Corsair Dominator DHX DDR3 1600MHz 4GB
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 560 1GB PhysX, CUDA
Samsung spinpoint m7e 320gb

i have looked in the bio's settings and the ram runs 1066MHz

its says if the cpu is locked 800MHz and 1066 can work.

after the freze i wanted to boost my DRAM to 1600MHz

but is my cpu locked?, can i run it?

Does it freeze in Windows or at bootup? If in Windows, clean the system with CCleaner. Do Clean and Registry both. Defrag. Reboot.
