Fan Too Fast, Diagnostic Code D

I have a dell. It's giving me Diagnostic code "D" and it seems like the fan is too fast, but maybe it's my imagination. (it probably is). On the screen it displays the name of the type of BIOS but does not do anything else. All Dell says for 'd' is other error.
In the beginning, it was working, then I took out my sound and graphics/video card so that I could get the model # off of them. then, when i was done, i put them back in and tried to turn it on and this happened
