Hi all:

Just looking for some input on mobile CPU selection: Best Buy has an ASUS G73 with the i7-2630QM processor while Costco has the ASUS G73 with an i7-740QM. Both have GTX 460M's.

I only play WoW. Which would you recommend to max game performance?

Thanks all!

UPDATE: For anyone interested, I bought both and ram them side by side for a week. The i7-2630 gave me an average fps of 60 on default "high" settings while the i7-740QM gave me an average fps of 59.7 on default "high" settings.

Hi, the i7 2630QM is based on Intel's new Sandy Bridge architecture and is about 10-15 per cent faster clock for clock, core for core than the Nehalem architecture that the i7 740QM is based on. Plus the i7 2630QM has a higher clockspeed, it's definitely faster than the i7 740QM. That said, the difference in WoW will not be great because WoW isn't a very demanding game by today's standards, so both will run fine without much of a difference.
