No signal in moniter

Hello,
yesterday suddenly i view a colourful line on my moniter then i shut down ,later i tried to start my computer but my moniter doesnt show any signal.i think its cause of RAM?

I encountered a similar problem with a ddr ram on my previously built P4 pc.I cleaned the slot,got rid of all the dust and moisture accumulated on the ram and it ran fine again but only to get replaced after a month.

But these types of problems can also be caused by monitors,graphics cards but then again there is no harm in regularly cleaning and maintaining your cabinet and system.
