The OP needs a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers as well. Probably change out the SSD for those parts.

Also stick with the Apollo or get the HAF 922 there is no reason to spend over 100 dollars on a build in the 1500 dollar range

Okay where did you here AMD is closing? That doesn't seem probable but if they do close they'll liquidate their entire stock, the problem would be drivers, I really can't see AMD closing

okay the 6950 is a better deal than the 470 because you get 70 dollars of free performance from the BIOS unlock and it runs on less power and cooler

And should i wait for the new proccesor from intel because its going to be a new motherboard. I dont really care about the voltage and i dont need the integrated grapghics

I decided to wait till the i7 950 price drops down. ill get a evga 3 sli motherboard, asus gtx 460(later ill sli), western digital 500 gb hardrive( i wanted the terabite one u gave me but its out of stock), the monitor that u said, 8gb of ram from g skill ripjaws, Corsair CMPSU-850TX, ASUS Black 24X DVD+R, Razer deathadder, and a haf 932. Is there anything im missing? the reason i went to a gtx 460 is because i want to go as low as possible in the money. and should i buy from newegg or amazon because amazon has no tax

this is a pretty much solid build and can run crysis at high to max settings

The 2600 can only overclock a small amount since it has a locked multiplier and the base clock on these chips aren't very flexible. The 2600k has an unlocked multiplier so you don't have to worry about the stability of your other components, just the cpu. So basically if you want to overclock you need the k version on these new chips.

but is it needed for games or is it for competition. Will the processor bottleneck

So i should just go with the normal one. And GTX 460 Superclocked vs. HD 6870, I cant figure out which one to get

@bubbathing u could go for the haf 922 instead of 932

I just found out the gtx 560 ti came out. Do u think its good. Should i change it to that. I also want an Nvidea because i might use it for physx later
