Expected Release of the 6900 Series?

Was wondering if anyone has heard the expected projections/release date for the 6900 series? And if so does anyone have an idea of what their prices will be? Or better yet will the release of the 6900 affect the prices of the 6800 at all?

I am in the market for a new GPU so for now i was looking at the 6850 or 6870 but not sure if i should wait to see the 6900 series (which will prob be over my budget as i prob dont wanna spent over 250$ CDN) but if say a 6900 was absolutely groundbreaking performance for only like 25-50$ more id get it.

so anyways any help is great!

mid to late november, they should land around the 5870 price point, so somewhere $300-400. 6800 shouldnt be affected at all since they are part of the new family and positioned as such already.

yah but sometimes the launch of a higher line sometimes lowers the pricepoint of a "higher line" as the 6800 series came in cheaper then we thought and i do tend to agree with you....which prob leads me to be getting a 6870 when i get around to it....was just wondering if i should wait
