Hello I would like to upgrade my ram i have seen some but not sure if it will be compatible.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 24/12/10

My current setup is

AMD Phenom II X4 955
Radeon HD 5770
Asrock M3A790GXH/USB3 790GX
500GB Samsung HD502HJ
Dual Layer DVD Drive
Coolermaster Elite 335
Be Quiet Pure Power 530
Crucial 1GB DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10600 Memory CL9 1.5V Unbuffered Non-ECC x2

Looking to spend around £50 have seen this

The Phenom II 955 doesn't usually care for ram above 1333mhz and usually doesn't like to use more than 2-3 ram modules.

You could reduce the speed on the corsair's down to 1333mhz and decrease the timings to make everything a bit more stable.


If you don't overclock you really won't even have to worry about it though. The Corsair ram is high-quality.

I dont overclock. So if i buy this ram and put it in, it will work?

There's also this G.Skill ram which is what I plan on using:

It's cas 8-8-8-24 so it should be faster. It's also 1333 MHz, but can easily handle overclocking to much higher.
