Intel or Marvell port

Hey guys, so I just built a new computer and it's running great. I just have one question out of curiosity. This is concerning my Crucial M4 SSD and my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 motherboard. While building I got confused as to which SATA port I should plug my SSD drive into. The motherboard has two intel and two marvell 6g/s ports. I ended up plugging it into the marvell port and it seems to be working well. I was just wondering if I did the right thing?

Any explanation would be appreciated

if the marvell controller is a SATA 3 then i would use it, most likely the intel controller is a SATA 2

They're both SATA 3 as far as I know. And the thread Mouse posted with the link people are saying to use the Intel port.
