Motherboard/memory??

I am looking at a motherboard for a new PC that supports up to DDR3 2200MHz (OC) but only DDR3 1333MHz standard. What will happen if I put a standard DDR3 1600MHz memory into this board? Will I have to do something to make it work or will it work right off?

I am finding it cheaper to put 8gb or 16gb at 1600MHz than 1333Mhz is my reason.

What board? Please list the make and model number.

ASUS P8P67 LE B3 Also looking at the Pro version

It will default to 1333; 1600 may permit you to overclock the cpu some.
