Quad core - cores run at different temperatures - problem?

Hi
I have just fitted a Q9650 to my P5Q MB

I plan to Overclock it.

Currently the cores are running at 33C / 31C / 34C / 34C

Is this normal?

Does it indicate that I have applied the Arctic silver baddly?

TIA

More about quad core cores temperatures problem
  1. It is absolutely normal to have a few degree difference between cores.

yes, it would be strange to have same temp on every core :)
  3. Thanks folks - My Q6600 ran only a degree difference between them. I thought I might have botched the thermal grease application.

    (Very pleased with the Fenrir)

    Thanks for your help.
