DVI?

I recently bought a new 20" LG LCD Monitor I presumed it would come with a DVI cable but it didn't so I am now using VGA. I was wondering if a DVI cable is even worth it enough for me to put in an effort to buy it for what? $10-$20? Is there an distinguishable improvement in performance and/or visual quality when switching to DVI?

ACK! Too much cut and paste - very sorry. Try this:

Again, my apologies. If you buy the cable, please report back whether you saw any change.
