$500 Budget Descent Gaming Rig

I am on a tight budget, I've read the previous 400 budget gaming rig by a student but unfortunately those parts are all out of stock.

I will be making my purchase before december 31st or after new years....which do you recommend ?


Budget Range: 400 ~ 500


System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gothic 4, Armed Assault 2, Black Ops


Parts Not Required: speakers, mouse, keyboard, monitor, windows 7


Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any site in the Canada that gives the best price (newegg, amazon etc)

Country of Origin: Canada


Parts Preferences: by brand or type : AMD I guess ?, best bang for buck.


Overclocking: No


SLI or Crossfire: I don't think so....I don't know what this is.


Monitor Resolution: depending on your recommendation


Additional Comments: again, price and performance is main concern. I hope it is quiet and not too loud !

thanks for that but it seems the power cooler is out of stock ?? which cooler should I get ? everything else is available in stock. Unfortunately the cost is $600 when I check my cart.

The CPU cooler? I like the Hyper 212+ ($30) but its very tall. What case you looking at? And yes, that CPU is plenty powerful for what you intend to play.

In all honestly if you dont plan on OCing or are only doing light oc you don't need more than the stock cooler.
