Is it possible??

I just bought a new 6950 video card, but before I have never been able to clock higher than 3.5ghz on my CPU. Is it possible since the install of the new video card that I can now overclock to 3.7ghz stable or a fluke?? I have tried numerous times for the 3.7 overclock stable and have never accomplished til tonight. I have run prime95 for 1 hour and 20 minutes so far. top CPU temp is only 47C. Any thoughts??

Its prolly a fluke unless you had a bad air flow before you installed your new gpu. Good job in getting to 3.7GHz. What is your processor anyways?

Phenom II X3 740. I got one that I couldn't unlock the 4th core, but doesn't matter I bought a 955 BE LOL. Waiting on UPS to deliver the damn thing LOL.

Edit: Also my old card Asus 4870 wasn't the coolest card, my new XFX 6950 has 2 fans and is super silent. Love the card.
