It won't hurt to try the ram. As long as it's desktop 240 pin 1.5-1.65v ddr3, you should be fine. Be sure to seat it in firmly and listen for two clicks as it locks in.

Just opened them and finished assembly, system stared up without a hitch :)  thanks for the help :)
