Can i upgrade my dell optiplex gx280 32bit cpu to a 64bit cpu

my name is amos. I just brought a referbished Dell Optiplex GX280 with windows XP.
The reason for that is that I'm doing a home study for the compTIA A+ NET+ certification.
And I want to know if I can upgrade my cpu from a 32bit to a 64bit or what can I do to upgrade my system to be able to run 32/64 without buying a whole new system???

Get a new HDD, and install a 64 bit OS on it. Make sure you have 1 GB or RAM as well.
