My sound recorder makes my computer blue screen

How about you supply somw more information. What sound recorder? What version OS? What are your hardware specs? What Make/model is your soundcard?

I'm using windows 7 and my sound driver details is soundmax integrated 5.12.1.5410.I tried updating and windows says it's updated---.i have this prob whenever i open the sound recorder or anything related to mic...the sound works well for the headphone but doesn't work at all for the mic..and give me BSOD..help me!!! thanx for readin my question and answerin them ...appreciate it so much =)

what motherboard? Visit the motherboard's site and see if there are updated drivers. Windows will only find the ones MS has.
