Hey guys i already own a 9600 GSO 768MB DDR3 should i consider buying a GT430 is it really worth it??

The card will be used for watching HD content and very rare gaming @ 1366x768 res

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

The 430 has some nice bits for the HTPC side of your build, but the gaming would just be non-existent; not an upgrade from your 9600. (the 5450 has those same bits minus the 3D, and is a ton cheaper though)

the gt430 is a POS. Dont buy it. What made you even think of getting this? What reviews did you read that I didnt? its a very poor performing card for the price. At the lower price points ATI is king. get a 5670 or 5570 or something. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gt-430-gf10...

If you rarely game, what's wrong with the 9600 you already have?

9600 is fine but i wanted to invest in something a bit beefier than 9600.

You would rather want a 450, 460
Or go with a Radeon 5770/6850

HD5770 is around 150$ 6850 is 170$ and they are out of my budget. How about a HD5670?? coz i have a low res 19" lcd 1366x768?

i am very familiar with the hd4670 in which i have no complaints.
i actually really like the card and scores good on WEI if that's your thing.
so i can only go on that by saying the hd5670 will be just as good.
hope that helps.
