First off, welcome to the forums. Secondly, it's very hard to understand what your trying to say. From what i gather, you have a boot problem because you installed a new harddrive, and it keeps asking for a boot device... or something of that nature. i would go over your cables again, and if not already done, check and set the jumpers as necessary, assuming your using the older style p-ata cables.

Well, first of all, a boot floppy for XP, for instance, needs 6 floppies.

Have you gone into the BIOS of your computer and selected the boot device?

another good question is, did you take away the old drive? If so you need that in the computer to boot from.
