Hello,
I just only want to know where is the BIOS Chip located in the motherboard M2N78-LA. I see in this motherboard a lot of chips with the same shape and number of pins than the BIOS chip on sale. Please somebody let me know how to solve this issue. thank you!!!

If the bios chip is removable, you'll need a special tool called a PLL puller, which costs about ten dollars when you can find them. You can't use just any chip; put the wrong chip in, and the board won't post, just a blank screen. Your board is oem, meaning it has an hp bios, not made by asus. I doubt they carry. If you had a bad bios flash, then I would replace the board. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c01421635&dlc=en

It's an SPI SOIC 8-PIN EEPROM chip that is soldered onto the motherboard.

Are you planning on buying the chip with the correct BIOS image already flashed to it? If not, you will need an SPI programmer and they're not cheap.

You'll also need good soldering skills.

I insist. The only thing I need is the exact location of this chip....
