A frequent gamer but no video card??

If your a frequent gamer and you want a "performance system" you should be looking at i5-2500/2500K. 955BE really has no upgrade path.

There's a 5770 in there. But... yeah. This isn't a "performance" system, more of a budget system.

Still the CPU is fine for gaming and the only thing I'd look at upgrading is the GPU to at least a 460 or 6850.

130$ for that motherboard is quite high.. Are you based outside US..? In that case, please mention your budget in your currency which will help us figure out a much more accurate reply..

Wow, not sure how I missed the 5770. lol

I agree, it's more of a budget system build than performance system build.

Anyways, you should be able to find a good 880G for $100 or less and put the savings into a better video card.

And yes the cpu is fine for gaming, but no upgrade path. If you only upgrade every 4-5 years, then go for it.
