there is a driver named "ForceWare Release 90". i need geforce mx400. anyway, thanks for ur help

click the 'supported' tab. Look for MX400. I still use that card with the driver I linked.

that is the latest driver that is compatible with a mx400 on xp, it isn't supposed to be called "geforce mx400 driver"

here i didn't found the 'geforce mx400' support, i found the driver for geforce2 mx400. but it's not working with my geforce mx400. where can i find it?

That is the correct driver. There may be some other problem with the system or hardware preventing it from installing. Perhaps a friend or relative with more troubleshooting experience can help. Run this software to see which video card you have. There is one classification of the MX400. Nvida is manufacturer. You are on the manufacturer website looking at the driver for the MX400.

the only "mx400" i know is from the geforce 2 series, so that must be the correct driver. run the program above and tell us what it shows

it doesn't install because i have geforce series, not geforce 2.

There is only one MX400. There is not a 1 and 2. What does GPUZ say?

How about device manager? Does the video card show up there under Display adapters? I would run GPUZ and see what card is listed there.
