I'm thinking about replacing my 19" Hyundai LCD monitor for a 23-24" one. I mostly use my system for gaming, surfing and photo retouching (Lightroom and Elements). I really like the reviews I read on some of the ASUS backlit monitors, but from what I can see, there are almost no display adjustments for tweaking color and contrast other than some presets. I'd like to fine tune, so I can get proper skin tones and white balances. Any recommendations in the $150-250 range?

You know what? Tom's Hardware needs a monitor sub-category under Graphics & Displays. I just tried to submit this post with none, but it wouldn't let me. So, here it is in the Graphics Cards sub section. Sorry, but don't know where else to put it.

I bought myself a BenQ G2420HDBL a couple weeks back, it's one of the cheapest LED monitors around, It's been amazing considering the price of £150 ($235) . It's 24inch and its amazingly bright. The default preset for colour is horrible but I did some tweaking and turned on senseye and the colours are very vibrant (but not unrealistic). It's not fantastic out of the box, but when it's set up properly its great.
