Help with upgrading my computer ixtreme m3720?

Normal Ixtreme specs:

Computer --- IXtreme 3720
Processor ---- Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHq
RAM - 4GB only 3.75GB Usable
64bit Windows 7
Graphics Card ---- Nvidia GeForce 7100/ Nvidia Nforce 630i
Motherboard ------> I'm not sure, but i guess its not that good

What im going to upgrade:

Nvidia GeForce 7100/ Nvidia Nforce 630i
- ATI Radeon™ HD 4890

Also im going to change the motherboard to a

Foxconn Quantum Force Flamingblade GTI Motherboard - Intel Core i7, X58, ATX, Socket 1366, DDR3,

on the motherboard im getting it mentions Intel Core i7, does this means it comes with a intel core i7 or is just capable of using it?

I'm a bit of a "noob" in computers, not even sure if i posted in the correct thread
