Which Graphics card should i get?

It has come down to two Graphics card now i have chosen nividia because i edit AVCHD format in AFTER EFFECTS CS5 AND PREMIERE PRO CS5
tell me which one you would reccomend that will make video play in real time and not choppy????

Nvidia Geforce GTX460
Nvidia Geforce GTX465

If you have any other reccomendations please tell????

The GTX 460 and 465 are both adequate for your use. I would go with the 460 though as it is what the 465 was supposed to be.

Hmms...I'm not too knowledgeable about that card as the 300 series are usually for OEMs only. From what I can see via Google and Nvidia's website its a much weaker card compared to the other two options. It should be a bit behind a GT240 and ATI 4670 maybe. Also for your CS5 programs I'm assuming Cuda will be used; in that case you're looking at 336 processor cores on the GTX 460 vs only 72 on the GT 320.

The 460>465 in every regard. However it might be wise to splurge for the 470. It would have much better CUDA than the 460. If CUDA isnt that important, then i recommend the 6850 over everything.

Why not look at the GTS450, you dont need that much processing power for CUDA acceleration.

Thanks i am most probably going to go with the Nvidia GTX460 Graphics card please tell me what you think of that card with a i5 processor and 8GB of ram???
