This will be used for gaming mostly, with the obvious other stuff. I already have all my parts picked, but I would like some opinions on whether I should pick one thing over another or if something will last me longer. Any help is appreciated.

I still need a heatsink for the CPU unless you think the stock will work. I also think I'll need a fan for the GPU, since the 470 does get hot.

Any help is appreciated.

The case seems cheap.
Your mobo does not support SLI but your GPU is nVidia. You should either get an ATI card or change mobo.
750w is overkill unless you plano to have a second gpu.

Looks good to me as well. I'd consider the AMD 6870 over the 470 at that price point though. The 470 has been pooped on in some of Tom's recent benchmark comparisons. Also, 750W is a bit much for a single card unless you're planning ahead for an SLI setup.

Do you say that from experience or just the look?

I read a review on it from a German site and they LOVED it. Couldn't really find any other reviews, but it seems like a really good value case.

The case got great reviews on Newegg. Plus, I find it super cool how it opens and it'll even make it easier for a first time builder.

The mobo and processor are a package, so I would have to change the card. I'll look into the 6870.

As for the PSU, it's only 10 dollars more than the 650 so I'm playing the 'be safe' route since it's barely any cash.

i think you should spend even more on the psu and get a corsair modular unit.. much tidier looking build

Edit: if you want to go cheap on the case, why dont you get something like an antec 902? much cleaner fit an finish with window, exceptional cooling ect.

First off PSU get the EA650w(link at bottom) it is going to be enough for your 470 or 6850 whichever you choose go with the 6850 to allow crossfire later on
remember you can't use SLI on AMD mobos

Get a 955 same as the 965 just clocked a little lower and you can fix that with a little overclock with stock cooling

Get a different case I know the RAIDMAX is flashy but a more functional HAF 912 is recommended http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&Tpk=HAF%20912

Thanks for pointing out the Antec case. Not only is it beautiful, but it seems like it has amazing cooling. I'll be getting that one.

Will the 650w PSU be enough for two 6850s if I do decide to run two GPUs?

I'm going to go with the 650w PSU since it'll save some money and I won't be running duo GPUs for a while.

I also went with the 6870, so that in the future I am able to buy another one.

I also plan to go with the Antec case, so hopefully Newegg gets it back in stock asap.
