Screen gets darken at bottom

Hello,
My iMAC gets a few shades darker from the middle of the screen all the way to the bottom. It boots up it is fine then all the sudden it darkens. Can Anybody help me out.

Backlight may be going, im not familiar with what technique of backlighting an iMac uses but that is a common reason for it to be darker in a certain area. You can try playing with the brightness and contrast settings and see if it affects it at all, but if its the back light it wont make a difference. If its still under warranty see if you can get it replaced.

Note that we're sort of assuming you've had the PC . . . er, computer for a while and the symptom is new. If not, bring it back now.

send it back to apple they will replace it or check for other faults
