Can GA-990XA-UD3 unlock Phenom II X4 960T hidden cores?

Hello guys,

I've got a big problem here and I need help fast.I want to pair GA-990XA-UD3[and use it for bulldozers when the prices drop] and Phenom II X4 960T and unlock hidden cores if the proc allows?
I can't find information anywhere if this mobo can or can't unlock 960T.
Some people say that it's meant only for bulldozers and that core unlock feature doesn't work on Phenom X2 or X4 serries.
Help please.

I think AMD stopped the core unlocking feature in 9XX chipsets. So it is a NO. You can try it with any 8XX chipsets.

on page 43 under Advanced BIOS Feature you can find CPU Unlock.
So is this just for bulldozers or can it unlock phenom ii too?
Many people unlocked 960t on GA-970A-D3 so why not on 990?

GA-970A-UD3 also unlocks extra cores on 960T.

But what about 990 chipset?

YES, it does work at least for me. please notice that it will shut down your temperature sensor on the cpu so do low overclocks for a gaming computer use 4 cores at 3.7-3.9Ghz fixing to change my clocks now back to stock because ive been sk8ing and not gaming as much. Good luck!( $130 for a x6 is a great deal and the multiplyer is still unlocked!!!)
