Asus 9500GT - I have problems with image quality

Hello everyone,

lately I've decided to get me a newer graphics card. I was using Asus 7600GS details at: www.bit.ly/b58gH0 and bought
Asus 9500GT details at: www.bit.ly/bRsE9s thought it was pretty good and not expensive.

However when i installed it the picture wasn't as sharp as with my previous card. I really don't know why. I've chosen this card cause it had 1GB and i thought that this meant this card was really good. Now i think that maybe there is a possibility that if i took a card with less than 1GB it would be less demanding (sharper image) ?? i really don't know why it's like that ?

I'd really appreciate your help.

MY PC:
E6750 @ 2,66 Ghz ,
1GB ram http://bit.ly/dnHikE ,
MSI P31 Neo-F v2 motherborad INFO at: www.bit.ly/aRi4zP,
400W Power supply unit ,details at: www.bit.ly/bmJ0tR

BTW: On the box of 9500GT it says a minimum 400W system power supply with 12V current rating of 26A i don't know what that means.

  1. I'm using the MSI version of that card and the picture is pin sharp so unless you have a duff one it's not the card that's at fault, how are you connecting and what OS are you using?

well I used to use d-sub with my Palit and it was great now I use dvi. My OS is Vista Home Premium 32bit.
  3. Have you set clear type?
  4. Also what do you think abou this:

Has my PSU got what they want ?
  5. It's the recommended PSU for the whole system.

Yeah but I thought there was something wrong cause i seem to have 17A

BTW: I forgot to tell you that I always use 1024 x 768 resolution. I have poor eye sight and that's why this resolution. It was sharp enough with my previous graphics card.
  7. Other than clear type not being set I don't know you wouldn't have a clear image, I assume you've been through the options in the Nvidia control panel?
