Hey all. I wasn't sure if this should be in homebuilt or new build. whats the difference? anyhoo here goes.

After much research I have finally put together my new computer build, but wanted to check with the vets here to see if I have missed anything. Will this all work together and am I over/under doing anything? Any forseen issues or suggestions will be much appreciated. This is my first time building a pc.

Solution
Okay first for the RAM get 4gb 8 just isn't worth unless you're doing hardcore rendering video editing

Also PSU get the EA650 Antec: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371015&Tpk=ea650%20antec

It's 50 dollars after rebate and it's quality is right up there with the corsair

Get the 955 phenom it's cheaper and with the hyper you can clock it higher than the 970

Spend some of the extra money you save from the above changes on the case get the three hundred illusion more fans: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

Also make sure to purchase the hyper 212+ from amazon (save on shipping and get the extra fan) and get the AS5 from your local Radioshack (no shipping)...
video card depends on your intended uses and budget...

Solid midrange gaming card if GTX460 (1 gb)

It would be better if you cut/paste posted a summary of the parts yourself, vice making everyone click on every single link....(which by the way, the cpu and mb links were 'unavailable; when i tried them...)

Mainly I will use it for gaming and the regular web surfing. Possibly some video editing but thats not in stone.

I figured I would go with 8 because its only another $40-50 and I'm hoping it will save me from upgrading for some time.

Is 8g a huge overkill over 4g? It can only make things better right? I've always looked at ram as the one thing that you can never have too much of.

HDD: get the samsung spinpoint instead it's faster and cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&cm_re=samsung_spinpoint_1tb-_-22-152-185-_-Product

finally the GPU with all the money saved buy the 6950 and unlock it to a 6970 with this tweaktown article: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/18214/amd_radeon_hd6950_can_be_unlocked_to_hd6970/index.html

6950: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102914&cm_re=6950_ati-_-14-102-914-_-Product

The 6950 is probably overkill but I don't know your resolution so I can't say also don't go nvidia because you won't be able to crossfire later on
