How to connect ast180 to tv

I connected my Acer Aspire180 to a Sonny Bravia HDTV and on the tv screen I see "unsupported signal"
I rebutted my computer and it worked but only once and now I'm getting the same unsupported signal message. What di I have to do to fix the problem

Are you using the integrated nVidia MCP61 graphics controller or a discrete graphics card?

The appropriate graphics card device driver needs to be installed and configured to output the appropriate resolution and scan/refresh rate that your Sony HDTV accepts.
