Hi,

I recently bought some new ram ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231315 ) and installed it with no problems. However, upon resetting my bios settings and booting up, both Speccy and CPU-Z are informing me that the memory is only operating in single channel. Both Speccy and CPU-Z are recognizing all 16 gb. I was previously using 2x2gb ddr3 1600mhz Corsair Dominator in dual channel with no problems.

Relevant:
Asus P7P55D-E Pro motherboard
i5-760 cpu

Basically, I'd like to know why my computer isn't recognizing this as dual channel memory and what I can do to fix it.

I'm a newbie so my answer is probably wrong, but. I had the same problem and it was because I put my ram in two slots side by side and they should have been a slot a part. As soon as I moved them apart, it showed up as dual channel.

This problem is not possible with my configuration, I have four slots and all four are filled with the same 4gb sticks.
