Okay so i finished most of my computer.
Asus p6x58d-e
i7 950 for some reason i guess with turbo runs at 3.2ghz
gtx 460 @ stock right now
6gb ocz platinum ddr3 1660 6-8-6-24-CR1
all running on ocz 700W PSU
in an AZZA helio 910
1600x900 resolution

So as of right now it plays every game incredible not disappointed. Metro 2033 on the other hand woah running everything very high, with physx everything max msaax4 and af16x dx11. runs awesome i get around 12fps minimum thru 40fps. wondering if thats okay? and would adding a gt240 help this game in fps? and would ocing my 950 to 4ghz would run it better and of course ocing the gtx460 to @ 925, shader 1850, memory 2100? Oh and i have the Xigmatek HDT SD964W that my dad didnt use for his phenom was wondering if I should put it on with one fan or two? and which dirrection? (exhausting from the top to hit the top fan and intaking from the bottom near the gpu where the big 230mm fan is putting air in?) or (exhausting hitting the back fan and intaking thru the front) <- but the problem I see with that is i have 2dvd drives and ima install a fan controller so there would be a way to suck a good amount of air i think. I have two fans exhuasting on top and back near the cpu. Of course saving up to get an ssd prob getting ocz vertex II.

The 460 is a bit light for Metro at max settings.

Consult the manufacturer regarding positioning. Prolimatech for example showed a 3C improvement with the fans blowing to the rear of the case rather than blowing up.

yea i know its light but heh thought maybe ocing will give a good boost. okay ima give xigmatec a good email on monday. would a gt240 give a good boost in fps with an ocing 460? and would my psu give enough juice for all that?

Doing anything with your CPU would be pointless for Metro 2033, I think it's one of those game that doesn't see a difference whether you use a 2GHz dual-core CPU or a 3.6GHZ hex-core.

Metro is just a GPU hog, whatever you throw at it it can bring to it's knees. Try running it in DX10/DX9 mode, I think you can get 25% more FPS that way and visual quality isn't impaired that much.

okay thanks dx10 gave me more fps 50fps maxed drops to around 20ish but alot more playable. and dx9 was 70 doesnt go under 50ish thanks zenthar. and dx9 from dx11 isnt that ugly than I thought it would be.
