New build -

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz

GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) \
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

order of building:
I started out by installed the cpu carefully by holding down the cpu and locking it then then putting on the hsf

put mb into case

then hooking up the 400 watt no name psu to the motherboard 18+6 pin or w/e and the 4 pin AUX-12v into the correct spot in the 4+4 plug

then i started it and there was 3 (long i think - longer than a normal start up beep on my last computer - about 2-3 secs each) beeps and a short break with 3 long beeps and repeating

then entered 1 ram and same thing, switched it for the other ram and same thing

so it was long repeating beeps which should indicate the graphics card wasnt seated correctly which there is no graphics card

if it was short beeps repeating then it would be a psu problem which would make sense because it's not a good psu and i have a 650w antech one comming

i think if i reset the cmos it will make it go to onboard video which is what im trying to make it post on (brand new board never had a video card in)

ill try that now and post back

I read and followed PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about boot/no video problems!

edit: going to try this "(Try each stick of RAM individually in each RAM slot.)" brb
