My harddrive died in my sat reciever. it wont even spin up/in reciver or my pc. I have a spare 120gb wd that I can replace it with. it works in my pc and it spins up when i replace it in the reciver. Since the old drive was dead upon removal I have no idea how it was formatted. anyone know how to image a replacement drive for this. I remember the tivo article and hope this one is similar but havent found any info. the old drive was 40gb. i'd be happy with 40gb usable again or if possibe the whole thing.

any help is greatly appriciated.
