Hello,
i wish to use my spare mpt 401 power supply to power my lcd monitor because its power supply has died.
i think the gray wire needs a signal to turn it on can you give me any info or instructions on how to turn it on. thanks.

You wish to power your lcd monitor with your spare PC power supply? Are you even sure the voltage(s) the LCD requires is 12 and/or 5 volts DC?
If you are sure and wish to proceed, you do so under your own risk, you would mount a switch between the green wire (PS_on) and one of the black (ground) wires on the 20/24 pin motherboard connector.

Be sure the switch is not a momentary contact; the psu will shut off when ground is removed. Also be aware that some PSU's require a load be on the line, an old harddrive will do.
