AMD and radeon vs nvidia

so does it matter what type of video card you buy for an AMD build?

Im trying to put together a budget machine.

a local store has

Galaxy 60XMH6HS3HMW GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) GC 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

for $90

and im also thinking about buying a phenom II X4

will this work fine?

or is amd + radeon the choice to go with?

  1. it will work fine.
  2. The only time you'll have to consider brands in that respect is if you intend to SLI or CF the cards. Otherwise it's totally A-OK.
