does asus ship the new sabertooths with the newest bios so i can put the bulldozer cpu right in and start up or do i need to flash the bios with an older cpu

Yes. I have an FX 8120 running on ASUS Sabertooth 990FX. No need to upgrade the BIOS!

Sorry I rush to answer your question. I made a mistake; I did install an FX 8120 but on a Gigabyte GaA-990FXA-UD7 and I DID have to upgrade the BIOs.

On the Sabertooth 990FX, I installed an AMD Phenon II 1100T and I did NOT have to upgrade the BIOS.

so you so do not have a fx cpu in the sabertooth at all right
