Hello,

I had some problems with a virus & now it seems my computer is running in vga mode. I've looked on dxdiag & it now shows the following.

Name:
Manufacturer: n/a
Chip Type: n/a
DAC type: n/a
Approx Total Memory: n/a
Current Display: 1280 x 1024 (32 bit) (1Hz)

Main Driver: vga.dll

It seems that the driver has been unistalled. Unfortunately the graphics card I have is a replacement & was fitted by an IT shop so I don't have the original disk. Is there any way of finding out what graphics card I have (without taking the computer apart) so I can find the correct drivers online.

Ok friend,

You need to do 2 simple thigs:

First, download a software to detect your hardware like EVEREST 5.50 (foolow this link

"http://www.lavalys.com/support/downloads" or search this program on google) and instal it. Then open it

and in the computer icon select sumary icon. Then on the display icon take note on paper of the model of

the graphic adaptor.

You can close the program, go to google and put the name of your adapter folowed from the word "driver".

Normaly on the first liks you´ll have the download link fot the graphic card software.

Or you can reply me with the model of the card and ill send you the driver link.

Good Luck
