I got a new Asus 23.6" HD monitor, and it won't fill the screen completely, I'm running Win7 Home Premium with a 5870, with an HDMI output. There is an uneven black border that's larger on the sides than the bottom and top. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I briefly used an HDMI connection to my video card and discovered the image would overfill the screen. You need to look at your resolution settings, and make sure you are using the ones for "TV", instead of "PC". At least that's how it works for Nvidia drivers. I stopped using HDMI and went back to DVI because the monitor acted like a TV and would not go into Standby mode when the PC was shut off.
