i would say wait a week for the sandy bridge processors to be released then use the i5-2500k.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming,browsing. No movies or folding.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS , cd/dvd , SSD, HDD.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any websites it lists are fine.

Country of Origin: Ontario Canada.

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to use an AMD CPU & Biostar mobo with a 24" LCD and full tower case)

Overclocking: Yes , Cpu. Would like to oc VCARD and RAM if I could as well.

SLI or Crossfire: In the future maybe. Not atm.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

I recently purchased the valve gaming pack from steam.
It had all the Half Life games.
Left for Dead 1,2.
Team fortress 1,2.
Counter Strike , Source and more.

I also play combat arms on occasion.

they arent demanding games to be honest. the price of the i5-2500k is $216 excluding tax. look at the reviews and you'll see how much better it is than a i5-760. it will use a different motherboard though.

Ugh, canada eh? Does that $700 include taxes? If so you're actually looking at a $500 US build then.

So $500 for Case, GPU, CPU, mobo, PSU and RAM.

Don't see a 2500k being doable here. Better off waiting to see what price drops AMD does in response to SB. From there you can go the Athlon ii X3 route or maybe Phenom II x3 route depending on price.

Good thing is that you'll be fine with a $141 (after MIR) 1gb GTX 460
