Hello

Time to upgrade the wife's email-internet computer. Looking for opinions on which would be better; AMD or Intel.
Only parts needed are CPU-MB-Ram. Will use integrated graphics. Budget is US $130. Monitor is an old Dell 17" CRT. OS is WinXP Home. The only games she plays are on-line flash based.

AMD build:

AMD Sempron 140 Sargas 2.7GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 45W Single-Core Processor
BIOSTAR A880G+ AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (Radeon 4250 onboard GPU)
Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066

Intel:
Intel Celeron E3400 Wolfdale 2.6GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core
BIOSTAR G31D-M7 LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard (Intel GMA 3100 onboard GPU)
A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

Price wise they are equal. The question: is a dual core Celeron + Intel graphics better than a single core Sempron with ATI graphics?

Thanks in advance

Get the AMD one. ;)

*More energy-efficient
*Better RAM
*More future-proof socket
*4250 is better than 3100

The list could go on...
